Turcs and Caicos: a paradise to discover

The Turcs and Caicos Islands are the perfect destination for those seeking paradise beaches, relaxation and water sports. The translucent waters of a unique blue, with coral and reefs, and the soft white sand make up the perfect beach setting wherever you walk on this island.

This destination that has become well known for being visited by many celebrities has conquered more and more tourists and is increasingly sought after for honeymoon trips or just for rest, delighting all visitors to this part of the Caribbean.

The main island of the region is Providenciales, where you can find several resorts and visit the most beautiful beaches. One of the most famous beaches on the island and considered one of the most beautiful in the world is Grace Bay, with a long, fine sandy beach and a calm, turquoise sea that few can resist. Other beaches with the same characteristics are Sapodilla Bay and Parrot, ideal for children, and the latter is a small neighbouring island perfect for families.

The Turcs and Caicos Islands are world-renowned for their crystal-clear waters which allow for diving and snorkelling for nature lovers. Coral Gardens beach is the perfect beach for this practice, with a great variety of corals and animals, including turtles and dolphins.

On Grand Turk Island you will find a barrier more than two thousand metres deep covered by coral and tropical animals. A unique attraction and experience for diving lovers.

Most hotels and resorts on the islands are concentrated in the town of Providenciales, especially Grace Bay beach, but it is possible to find accommodation on the other islands.

All the islands are prepared to receive tourists, with several restaurants and bars scattered along the beaches and in the city centre. Here you can find a great gastronomic variety, from Italian to Mexican cuisine.

Travellers visiting this archipelago of more than 40 islands land at the international airport in Providenciales, where most restaurants, shops, cafés and hotels are located. One option is to rent a car to get to know the island better, but if you choose not to rent a car there are many options of tourism agencies that offer tours of the beaches and boat trips.

As in much of the Caribbean, the best time to visit this archipelago is between late November and early May, which is when it rains less and temperatures average 28°C.
