More than 600 employees of TAAG – Linhas Aéreas de Angola took part in an internal competency assessment as part of the airline’s ongoing transformation and sustainability strategy.
The initiative, conducted under the “Eu Escolho a TAAG” (“I Choose TAAG”) programme, identified 14 competencies considered critical to accelerating the implementation of strategic projects and strengthening operational efficiency.
According to the company’s management, the talent-mapping process aims to align human resources with the airline’s current needs, enabling employees to be assigned to roles where their technical and behavioural skills can have greater impact.
“The identification and appreciation of our employees’ competencies is a fundamental step to ensuring TAAG’s financial and operational sustainability,” said Neide Teixeira, Board Member responsible for Human Capital.
The company stated that the assessment forms part of a broader transformation plan that includes cost-containment measures, restructuring and the strengthening of organisational culture.
The national carrier has been implementing internal reforms aimed at improving efficiency and consolidating its financial sustainability amid increasing demands in the aviation sector.
