The disclosure was made by the chairman of the bank, Luís Teles.

The chairman of Standard Bank Angola, Luís Teles, explained that the bank would be listed on the Angolan Stock Exchange (BODIVA) “in the next two to three years,” after the stabilisation of the shareholder structure of the financial group.

“Standard Bank can be one of the banks listed on the stock exchange, we still have some preparatory work to do, but I don’t see why the bank cannot list a percentage of its capital in BODIVA,” Teles said on the sidelines of a conference on investments in Angola and Mozambique, held in Lisbon.

“The bank has a lot of experience in the capital market, it is very competent in this area,” Teles noted, noting that it had been “at the forefront of promoting the development of the capital market in Angola, firstly as a benchmark operator, negotiating for itself or on behalf of clients in the secondary market, in the primary market, in public debt, and carrying out the first corporate debt issue listed in kwanzas.
