Angola’s production quota in the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) increases to 1529 thousand barrels/day as of September.

The agreement to increase the oil production in 100 thousand barrels/day, as of September, was confirmed at the 31st OPEC, in Vienna, Austria.

This is a lower rate than the one that had been decided by OPEC for July and August of this year, when an offer of 600,000 barrels of oil per day was agreed. Thus, with this agreement for September, Angola will increase its supply to 1,529,000 barrels/day, according to the approval.

For this August, Angola’s OPEC production quota is 1,502,000 barrels/day of crude oil.

Members reiterate the critical importance of adhering to full compliance and the compensation mechanism. These compensation plans will be made in accordance with the declaration of the 15th OPEC+ Ministerial Meeting.
