Ethiopia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Ethiopia’s Ambassador to China, Teshome Toga, has met with Chinese Deputy Director General of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Lin Huifang.

The development programme in agriculture is one of the areas of China-Africa cooperation.

The African country government is working on an ambitious agricultural development plan, including urban agriculture.

In his last appearance in parliament, and during ministerial meetings, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said Ethiopia should not import goods such as wheat in the next two to three years.

“China will continue to help Ethiopia in various ways, including through the means of agricultural investments, technology collaboration and product promotion,” Mr Lin said.
