U.S. President-elect Donald Trump is putting together one of the wealthiest presidential administrations in history by inviting eight billionaires to key positions, according to Newsweek.
The Republican won the November 6 election against Democrat Kamala Harris.
The 78-year-old billionaire is returning to power four years after losing reelection in 2020 to current President Joe Biden.
Trump’s inauguration will take place on January 20, when the United States holds the ceremony marking the start of a new presidential term.
The new administration will include:
- Businessman Elon Musk, with a fortune of $336 billion, and Vivek Ramaswamy, with assets valued at approximately $1.1 billion;
- U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Warren Stephens ($3.4 billion);
- U.S. Ambassador to France, Charles Kushner ($2.9 billion);
- Secretary of Education, Linda McMahon, wife of billionaire Vince McMahon ($3 billion);
- Secretary of Commerce, billionaire Howard Lutnick;
- U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East, investor Steve Witkoff ($1 billion);
- Secretary of the Treasury, Scott Bessent, who is likely a billionaire, although Forbes has not officially listed him as such.
