Conference and Exhibition on Local Content in the Oil Sector Announced

The Ministry of Mineral Resources, Petroleum and Gas (MIREMPET) will hold a Conference and Exhibition on Local Content in the Oil Sector in Luanda on March 26 and 27 of this year.

According to a statement consulted by JA Online, the event, held under the theme “Local Content – A National Commitment,” will bring together government entities, academics, civil society representatives, regulators, operators and service providers from the sector to reflect on the evolution of Local Content in light of Presidential Decree No. 271/20 of October 20.

The conference, with institutional sponsorship from MIREMPET, will be promoted by the National Agency for Oil, Gas and Biofuels (ANPG), in partnership with Sonangol, and organized by the company PetroAngola.

The program will include thematic and technical panel discussions, as well as an exhibition of products, services and solutions developed by companies in the sector.

More than 200 companies have confirmed their participation to showcase technical and operational capabilities and to promote partnerships focused on technology transfer, workforce training and local investment.

MIREMPET has also called on all partners and stakeholders to take part, emphasizing a collective commitment to an inclusive, resilient oil industry aligned with the country’s sustainable development goals.
