The village of Camela Amões, in the municipality of Cachiungo, Huambo Province, will host the Camela Amões Agribusiness Forum 2025 on October 1–2, 2025. The event, under the theme “More than producing, transforming,” is set to become a strategic milestone in the modernization and strengthening of Angola’s agricultural sector.
The initiative will bring together farmers, investors, policymakers, academics, financial institutions, and agri-tech companies, creating a platform for dialogue, innovation, and business aimed at sustainable development.
According to the organizers, the forum’s goals include strengthening local production and food sovereignty, reducing dependence on imports, promoting access to rural financing, encouraging agricultural mechanization, and stimulating agro-industrial development. The agenda will also cover digital innovation in farming, the empowerment of family farmers, the training of young and female entrepreneurs, and the influence on rural public policies.
The program will feature keynote speeches by international experts, thematic panels, B2B business meetings, agricultural exhibitions, and practical demonstrations of farming and livestock management.
With privileged agroecological conditions and widely recognized as Angola’s “breadbasket,” Huambo is considered a strategic location for such an initiative. For investors, the forum offers opportunities in high-potential projects with strong returns and social impact, as well as access to specialized networking and technical field visits.
General Coordinator Chilingutila Segunda Ferreira Amões emphasized that the gathering is “more than an event; it is a movement for economic and social transformation,” inviting companies and institutions to join as sponsors and strategic partners.
The Camela Amões Agribusiness Forum 2025 is organized by the local committee with the support of Mastermind Avicultura (SU) Lda.
