The Agrarian Development Support Fund (FADA) and the company Food Life signed important cooperation agreements last Friday, the 22nd, in Moxico Province, aimed at strengthening the rice production and processing chain, as well as formalizing family agricultural cooperatives.<\/p>\n
The signing ceremony took place during the groundbreaking event for the Rice Processing Factory of the Camanongue Agro-Industrial Complex, led by the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Rui Migu\u00eans de Oliveira, and witnessed by the Governor of Moxico Province, Ernesto Muangala.<\/p>\n
The event was also attended by the General Director of Food Life, institutional representatives, agricultural producers, cooperatives, and partners from the agricultural sector.<\/p>\n
Among the agreements signed was a Memorandum of Understanding between FADA and Food Life, formalizing the strategic partnership between the two institutions for financing, technical assistance, supply of agricultural inputs, and commercialization of agricultural production from the supported cooperatives.<\/p>\n
As part of this partnership, FADA plans to finance, in a pilot phase, around 30 rice-producing cooperatives in the region, with loans of up to 15 million kwanzas per cooperative, intended for the acquisition of seeds, fertilizers, irrigation systems, and working capital.<\/p>\n
Food Life, as the anchor company of the project, will be responsible for providing technical assistance to the cooperatives, supplying agricultural inputs, and purchasing rice production, ensuring raw material for the future rice processing plant in Camanongue.<\/p>\n
During the event, the implementation of the Family Agricultural Cooperatives Formalization Project was also reinforced. This initiative, operated by FADA in partnership with the One-Stop Business Service (Guich\u00e9 \u00danico da Empresa), aims to accelerate the legalization process of cooperatives and facilitate access to credit, technical assistance, and public policies.<\/p>\n
On the occasion, the formalization process of approximately 100 agricultural cooperatives in Moxico Province was launched, in an initiative involving several public institutions linked to agrarian development, vocational training, entrepreneurship, and tax regulation.<\/p>\n
For FADA, the signed agreements represent a strengthening of strategic partnerships focused on the economic inclusion of small producers, the promotion of family farming, and the reinforcement of food security in the country.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
