The Civil Aviation Academy of Angola (AACA) launched its first training course this Monday under the TRAINAIR PLUS Programme of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), marking the country\u2019s entry into the global network of aviation training centres.<\/p>\n
The training runs until April 10 at the premises of the National Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC) and brings together 42 participants, including members of the AACA\u2019s management and selected ANAC technical staff. The course is delivered by international instructor Rolando Tamayo.<\/p>\n
The inaugural programme covers training centre management and instructor training, following the TRAINAIR PLUS methodology, which is competency-based and includes a strong practical component and continuous assessment.<\/p>\n
According to the Chairperson of ANAC\u2019s Board of Directors, Am\u00e9lia Domingues Kuv\u00edngua, the creation of the academy enables the country \u201cto consistently train the professionals the sector needs, in alignment with ICAO standards.\u201d She added that the initiative reduces reliance on training abroad while strengthening technical capacity and operational safety.<\/p>\n
AACA\u2019s certification under the TRAINAIR PLUS Programme was obtained on October 10, 2025, integrating Angola into a global network of ICAO-recognized aviation training institutions.<\/p>\n
With the launch of the academy, Angola now has a dedicated structure for specialized training in the sector, aimed at strengthening institutional capacity and meeting the demands of safety and efficiency in civil aviation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
