Angolan businessman Valdomiro Minoru Dondo has denied any connection to the Cabinda Refinery, following the circulation of false information on social media claiming he was linked to the shareholding structure of Gemcorp, the majority partner of the project.<\/p>\n
In a statement, the businessman\u2019s press office clarified that Dondo is neither the owner of Gemcorp nor of the Cabinda Refinery, describing the allegations as \u201cabsolutely unfounded\u201d and motivated by \u201cbad faith,\u201d with the purpose of distorting the truth and discrediting both the businessman and the Angolan Government\u2019s efforts to diversify the economy.<\/p>\n
The note highlights Valdomiro Minoru Dondo\u2019s career, portraying him as an entrepreneur with several decades of activity in the private sector, recognized for his contribution to the country\u2019s economic and social development.<\/p>\n
The statement further stresses that the dissemination of false news is a harmful practice against national interests, as it undermines the honor of citizens and the progress achieved by the country in strategic areas such as attracting investment and building infrastructure, including the Cabinda Refinery.<\/p>\n
