Shares in Bolsa de D\u00edvida e Valores de Angola (BODIVA) gained 13.19% in Wednesday’s session, reaching 97,000 Kz, a price that overtakes pioneer BAI and now matches BFA at the top of the exchange’s most valuable stocks \u2014 a shift that breaks the long-standing banking duel for the lead in unit share prices on the local market.<\/p>\n
Banco Angolano de Investimentos (BAI), the institution that made history as the first entity to list shares on the exchange, saw its unit share price overtaken despite gaining 4.09% in the session, closing at 89,000 Kz.<\/p>\n
Despite losing the lead in unit price, the pioneering bank retained its dominance in market depth and liquidity. BAI stood out as the session’s biggest financial driver, posting total turnover of 456.52 billion Kz.<\/p>\n
BODIVA’s rise put the company on exact par with Banco de Fomento Angola (BFA). BFA shares closed at the same nominal level of 97,000 Kz, after edging up 0.52% and generating 3.73 billion Kz in traded liquidity.<\/p>\n
Among the other assets traded in Wednesday’s session, Unitel kept up its positive trend, rising 1.08% to 28,000 Kz on turnover of 141.23 billion Kz. Insurer ENSA posted a marginal change of 0.22%, with its price settling at 23,300 Kz.<\/p>\n
